The tour starts with a guided visit to the ruins of the ancient Mayan city Chichen Itza, which will last about one hour and a half. A certified archaeology guide will share many interesting facts about the ruins, including the ancient history of Chichen Itza.
As soon as the guided visit ends, you will have some free time at the archaeological site. You can wander around, take beautiful pictures, cool down in a shade, or simply relax after a lot of walking.
After several hours at Chichen Itza under the hot Mexican sun, it's time to take a refreshing swim in a cenote. We will visit the cenote Ik Kil - one of the most famous cenotes in the Yucatan Peninsula. There is also a local restaurant on site, where you will be offered a lunch buffet.
The tour ends with a short visit to the colonial town Valladolid. Valladolid is a charming small city with a compact town center, colorful homes, historic colonial ‘iglesias’ and authentic Mexican life, free of many outside influences. Afterwards, we will take you back to your hotel.
Visit the Ruins of Coba and the Spider Monkey Sanctuary of Punta Laguna
